Lower Kenai River FishingHere on the Kenai River we’re home to the world record king salmon catch of 97.4 lbs. Eight out of the ten largest Kings ever caught have come out of the Kenai.. Depending on the time of year, we regularly catch fish from 40 to 70 lbs. In recent years King salmon returns have been in a low cycle so we mainly fish Kings in the salt water. What does it take to haul these Alaska fishing monsters into the boat? Well, for starters, patience. but most importantly a knowledgeable Guide that knows when and where to be throughout the day.
Mid June through first week of August, we target Sockeye salmon. Late July through mid October the Silver Salmon enter the river. There’s also a ton of trophy-sized trout available mid June through October Many of our clients tell us they experienced a dream fishing trip of a lifetime when they head back home. |
